Bradford Gold Batts insulation for walls will deliver optimal performance in exterior cavity walls. You can lose up to 25% of the heat in your home through the walls in winter. It is also around the same amount of heat can enter through the walls during summer. Insulation essentially acts as a barrier to slow down this process and makes a substantial difference to the temperature you will feel inside, meaning you can live more comfortably.

R-values are the measuring tool we use to rate the level of thermal resistance. Essentially, the higher the R-Value, the more effective the insulation is. Bradford Gold wall batts are available in R-Values from R1.5 – R2.0. We manufacture it from glass wool. The batts are stiff and treated to provide moisture-resistant insulation – meeting the Building Code of Australia’s minimum energy efficiency requirements in homes. The glass wool we use is made up of very thin glass fibers spun like fairy floss to create millions of air pockets. These air pockets are very poor conductors of heat and resist air or radiation flow through the insulation.

Unlike other forms of heating and cooling control, insulation requires no maintenance or replacement. It will work as well as the day it was installed years from now.

With almost 40% of your energy bill coming directly from heating and cooling your home, it’s worth considering how to insulate your home best. Insulation is now considered essential to keeping inside temperatures comfortable all year round and making your home more energy-efficient. As a general rule, if installed properly, you will only have to install it once in your home, during construction or when you’re renovating. At Bradford, we believe that if you’re going to only do it once, you should do it right by using the best materials and with the best technology.
