Trade Select® Sarking HVB is an extra heavy-duty, high-performance reflective wall wrap and roof sarking designed for use in ABCB Climate Zone 1 and regions north of the Tropic of Capricorn in Climate Zone 2. Classified as a Class 1 Vapour Barrier, it effectively blocks vapour transmission, radiant heat, moisture ingress, draughts, and dust penetration. The reflective foil side enhances thermal performance when installed facing an air cavity, contributing to improved energy efficiency.
Constructed with a durable four-layer structure—comprising anti-oxidant UV-stabilised woven polypropylene, 97% reflective aluminium foil, fire-resistant polymer adhesive, and a polymer flood coat—Sarking HVB offers superior strength, flexibility, and durability. It is compliant with the National Construction Code for Pliable Building Membranes and Sarking-type Materials when correctly specified and installed.
Application:
Trade Select® Sarking HVB is intended for use as a roof sarking and wall wrap in residential and commercial buildings within the specified climate zones. It is suitable for installation behind various cladding types and under tile and metal roofs. When used in colder climates (ABCB Climate Zones 6, 7, and 8), a Class 3 or better permeable wrap should be used on the exterior side of the insulation to allow ambient vapour to escape without condensing into liquid.
